Boyd Lake is located 55 miles north of Denver.

Description

   There is a fee of $7 to get into Boyd Lake State Park. Access is very easy. Most of Boyd Lake State Park is grassland. The lake gets a good deal of boat traffic due to it's proximity to Fort Collins. Boyd Lake is a small lake but there is no limit on motor size for boats.



It is a very unspectacular lake as far as Colorado lakes go. About a fifth of the lake is bordered by houses. There is a boat ramp on the lake.

Warnings, Tips, & Other Details

The park is often infested with ticks during the summer months so if you walk around the park or take your dog out there, you should check yourself and your dog thoroughly afterwards.
